Akron NAACP Freedom Fund speakers urge audience to get active and vote

History is repeating itself with threats to voting rights and nationwide efforts to "remove minority influence" through redistricting, the Rev. Mark A. Thompson said during an impassioned speech Nov. 2 at the Akron NAACP 's Freedom Fund event.

"We must go forward and take seriously our call," said Thompson, a radio broadcaster, podcaster and TV commentator.
