Wind advisory in effect for Genesee and Orleans counties

BATAVIA — A wind advisory is in effect until 10 p.m. Monday for Genesee and Orleans counties.

Southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph are expected with gusts up to 50 mph, according to the National Weather Service in Buffalo. The strongest gusts expected along the shorelines of Lake Erie and Ontario, and then downwind.
