MIDDLETOWN – U.S. News & World Report has ranked the City of Middletown as the #11 Best Place to Live in New York.
A thrilled Mayor Joseph DeStefano said the recognition “underscores the progress we’ve made together – stabilizing taxes, achieving meaningful surpluses, improving sidewalks and the downtown core, and strengthening our grassroots outreach.”
The mayor said he is “energized by this acknowledgement but even more committed to continuing our work: enhancing economic opportunity, and preserving the community-driven spirit that makes out city feel like home.”
According to their methodology, the ranking reflects communities that have good value, are a desirable place to live, have a strong job market, and a high quality of life.”
