NYACK – Orangetown Police are investigating the deaths of a man and woman who had been shot with a shotgun in a residence at 290 North Midland Avenue in Nyack.

Their bodies were discovered at around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 1. The weapon was recovered at the scene.

Police had not received any previous reports of domestic incidents, but they responded to this call after getting a report by a family member of a past domestic incident and attempted to make contact were fruitless.

When police made entry into the home, they found the bodies of a 52-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman inside, both dead from shotgun wounds.

Police ask anyone with information or observed anything suspicious is asked to call the Orangetown Police Detective Bureau at 845-359-2121.
