Honeywell on Monday named Jim Currier as president and CEO of its aerospace unit, which will become an independent publicly traded company following its planned spinoff.
Currier has held the same roles at Honeywell's aerospace business since 2023 and has spent nearly two decades in senior roles at the company.
Earlier this year, Honeywell decided to break up its large conglomerate structure to create three independent companies focused on automation, aerospace and advanced materials. The spinoffs are expected to be completed in 2026.
Its aerospace business has been pressured by higher costs and tariffs, but has managed to keep pricing steady, a trend expected to change next year.
