ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Two people died in a crash in Albuquerque's North Valley Sunday night, according to the Albuquerque Police Department.
Officers were dispatched at 7:48 p.m. to the area of Candelaria Road and 2nd Street NW for reports of a two-vehicle crash and found that two people in one of the vehicles died on scene.
APD said a blue Toyota Tacoma was traveling west on Candelaria in the right lane and entered the intersection at 2nd Street when a blue 1967 Triumph convertible headed north on 2nd Street and t-boned the Toyota.
The Toyota then hit two other vehicles that were stopped for the red light in southbound 2nd Street in the left hand turn lane.
The driver and passenger of the Triumph died on scene and the individuals who were in the Toyota were taken to the hospital
