Not since the height of the Covid-19 pandemic has business confidence in Massachusetts been this bad for this long.

Disruptions from the federal government shutdown, rising costs and prices, and continued uncertainty about tariffs led to a drop in employer optimism for the second consecutive month and a whopping nine-point drop from a year earlier, according to the latest AIM Business Confidence Index.
