More than one in three Americans under 45 now say political violence can be justified, according to a new poll that reveals a stark generational divide over how far is too far in today’s polarized climate. Overall, 24 percent of Americans said there are instances where political violence is warranted—a finding that cuts across party lines but rises sharply among younger voters. Older Americans were far less likely to agree.
