Aizawl, Nov 3: Mizoram Excise and Narcotics Department officials seized more than 15 kg of highly addictive methamphetamine tablets, valued at over Rs 45 crore, and arrested four drug peddlers, including two Myanmar nationals, officials reported on Monday.
The first operation took place in the New Champhai area, where officers apprehended Zamsianmanga (41) and Ronald Liana (26), residents of Myanmar’s Sagaing Division, and recovered 10.1 kg of methamphetamine tablets from them.
A separate team intercepted a vehicle near Champhai town, seizing an additional 5.11 kg of meth tablets and arresting two Indian nationals—Sahanoor Alom (26) from Assam and Golap Hussain (32) from Tripura. The car, registered in Assam, was also confiscated.
