The West Shore School District is attempting to pass a discriminatory bathroom policy that would essentially demonize trans and non-binary students within the district. This issue is so volatile that members of the board on both sides have either quit or threaten to do so.

Members of the community have brought studies to the board stating the negative consequences of such bathroom policies. However, it appears that evidence is not enough to sway the board.

This district is important enough that our absentee Congressman Scott Perry even came out of his hidey-hole to endorse someone for the board. It’s my great disappointment that more leaders haven’t spoken up. We have a minority of people that Perry and his friends would like to erase.
