Police are investigating the theft of an ATM at a gas station in Farmington which could be connected to similar thefts in the area.
Officers responded to the Mobil gas station at 843 Farmington Ave. on Monday at 1:49 a.m. when two alarms were tripped indicating a burglary was taking place and that glass at the business had been broken, according to Lt. Kyle A. Noddin of the Farmington Police Department .
Noddin said responding officers found that the front door had been ripped off its hinges and that the store’s ATM was missing. Detectives responded to process the scene for evidence.
According to Noddin, the initial investigation found that three people in masks arrived at the gas station in a dark blue Volvo SUV and removed the ATM before leaving the area.
