Ryanair passengers can breathe a sign of relief as a £55 airport fee is set to be scrapped later this month.

Currently, customers are charged £55 to print a boarding pass at the airport for each passenger.

This means that a family of four could have to cough up £220, despite already buying their tickets.

But from November 12, the charge is set to be scrapped as the airline moves to digital boarding passes.

Passengers will have to download the Ryanair app to get the mobile boarding passes and show this at the gate.
