Reliance Foundation chairperson Nita Ambani congratulated the Indian women's cricket team for winning their maiden ICC World Cup title. India defeated South Africa by 52 runs to lift the trophy.
She was in attendance at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Sunday to cheer on the women’s cricket team and deliver a message of pride and gratitude.
Nita Ambani also thanked the team for bringing so much joy to the nation, saying they've made the nation swell with pride.
“At the stroke of midnight, our girls have won the first-ever ICC World Championship . I think you have made the whole nation swell with pride, the way you have played with courage, conviction and confidence. We are all so proud of you, and I want to say thank you, thank you, dhanyavad and Jai Hind,” she said.
