WASHINGTON — Three meteor showers will light up the sky in November, giving stargazers a potentially action-packed month.

The Taurids will peak on Wednesday, Nov. 5. The meteor shower consists of the Southern Taurids and the Northern Taurids.

The two streams typically produce about five meteors per hour, though it could be as many as 10 if the two overlap, according to EarthSky.

The Southern Taurids, usually active during the fall months, will peak in the early hours of Wednesday, Nov. 5.
