HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) - A fire in Evansville is still blazing on.

Officials say the fire was reported on November 3 around 7:45 a.m., and is located on West Missouri Street and Harriet Street. Firefighters tell us that it appears to be an abandoned house.

According to fire officials, they encountered what they described as a "hoarding situation" on the first floor. Crews found nobody inside, and went into a defensive mode after that. They expect crews to be on scene off and on all day.

A neighboring home was threatened by the fire. The EFD is still working to protect that home.
