It was one of the greatest Game 7 conclusions to the World Series in baseball history and sports fans around the globe were captivated.

The fact that the dramatic 5-4 Dodgers win over the Blue Jays at the Rogers Centre only heightened that appeal as the fabulous finale did blockbuster ratings on FOX in the U.S.

The 11-inning affair, in which the Dodgers repeated as champions, drew an audience of 25.98 million viewers with a peak of 31.54 million from 11:30 to 11:45 p.m.

While those are what the industry refer to as initial numbers, it made it the most-watched World Series game in the U.S. since 2017 — a terrific number given the overall decline in traditional TV ratings.
