Animal Crossing has just announced a brand-new and completely unexpected update. This new update will bring a lot of new content to the five-year-old game, and will hold fans over until the next Animal Crossing game is officially announced.

On that date, long-time and new fans of the franchise's mobile spinoff will experience a bittersweet moment.
