BELCHERTOWN — Belchertown Little League players, parents and supporters came out to Hulmes-Warner Field on Saturday, Nov. 1, to celebrate the launch of a new crowdfunding campaign.

The field, better known as “Mini Fenway Field,” has served more than 4,000 kids from Belchertown and six surrounding towns since 2002. The field is complete with its own Green Monster and Pesky Pole.

The $400,000 campaign goal will help keep Mini Fenway “safe, accessible and ready for the next generation,” according to a press statement.

The field, which is entirely maintained by volunteers, is in need of major upgrades, including the construction of a new storage shed and concession stand; building a covered batting cage; and installing a fully ADA-compliant bathroom facility.
