BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. (WIS) - Authorities have provided new details about a deadly Halloween weekend shooting in Blythewood.

A report from the Richland County Sheriff’s Department released Monday states deputies responded to reports of a shooting on the 600 block of Camp Ground Road at around 1:30 a.m.

The report goes on to state that people at the scene were doing CPR on a gunshot victim and that a deputy also began CPR when they arrived. Another deputy reported trying to clear the area for a crime scene, but that other people in the area were “extremely uncooperative.”

Documents note that a crime scene was eventually established as more deputies arrived.

EMS later arrived, but the victim reportedly died at the scene. The report also states the victim was shot in the abdomen.
