LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A national organization is once again raising funds to place thousands of wreaths on the graves of veterans buried in a Louisville cemetery.

The "Wreaths Across America" campaign kicked off Monday during a ceremony at the new Veterans Administration Hospital, which is under construction.

More than 5,200 locations in the U.S., including Zachary Taylor National Cemetery on Brownsboro Road in Louisville, are collecting donations to place wreaths on the graves of veterans in December. There are more than 11,000 graves at Zachary Taylor, officials said.
