FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — A construction worker was seriously injured Monday morning after a hit-and-run crash on I-95 North in Foxborough.
According to Massachusetts State Police (MSP), troopers responded to the incident at 2:15 a.m., learning that a vehicle struck the worker as he picked up a detail sign from the road.
Troopers administered aid to the victim and applied a tourniquet to his lower leg and were able to control the bleeding.
EMS arrived and transported the victim to an area hospital and he is expected to survive.
Troopers recovered a passenger side sideview mirror from the scene of the crash which will be processed as evidence.
The incident remains under investigation by troopers and MSP detectives.
