TOWN OF HOPKINTON, N.Y. (WWTI) - A 22-year-old Winthrop man is facing charges after allegedly striking someone with a broken bottle.
According to the New York State Police, they arrested Tyler Huto on Thursday, October 30, on second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Around 1:50 a.m. on October 12, troopers responded to Sheldon Road in the town of Hopkinton for a report of a menacing complaint.
An investigation allegedly revealed that Huto allegedly became irate and acted physically toward the victim while holding a shattered beer bottle.
He also allegedly struck the victim with the broken bottle, causing a laceration to the victim’s hand. Huto fled the scene before the troopers’ arrival.
