Rochester, N.Y. — An Upstate New York man who died in a fiery parking garage crash has been identified.

On Oct. 29, Mark Morreall of Holley, age 69, accidentally crashed into multiple cars inside the Portland Avenue parking garage at Rochester General Hospital, according to WHAM.

The crash, which happened around 11:15 a.m. on the second floor of the parking garage, showed no signs of criminal activity, according to initial investigations. Capt. Greg Bello of the Rochester Police Department said Morreall struck several unoccupied vehicles while driving a 2008 Ford Ranger before it caught fire. Morreall was found inside the vehicle after the fire was extinguished and pronounced dead at the scene.

Nine vehicles were damaged in the incident, the Democrat & Chronicle reported.
