A Midland school was placed in lockdown on the first day after the half-term break with reports pupils had to 'hide under tables'.

The incident took place at The Stourport High School in Minster Rd, Stourport-on-Severn on Monday (November 3) afternoon at around 2.30pm

Members of the public posted online about the incident and said: “Stourport High school on lockdown.

"All the kids were locked in the classrooms and under desks.”

One pupil said: “We was all under tables scared for our lives, with classrooms locked not knowing what was going on.”

A mum said: “It’s not fake my daughter goes there and was under a table.”
