BECKLEY, W.Va. — Police are investigating a suspicious vial that was found in a trick-or-treat basket on Halloween night in Beckley.
Beckley police said the unknown substance was labeled as fentanyl.
“The item was promptly reported by a parent, and no injuries have been associated with the discovery. The substance will undergo laboratory analysis, and the investigation remains active and is being handled by our Detective Bureau,” a Monday news release said.
