NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — Riders of certain subway lines will be waiting less and getting to work faster starting Monday.
The "A" and "L" trains have begun offering more frequent weekday services, Gov. Kathy Hochul and MTA officials announced Monday.
How it helps commuters
On the "A" line, one midday round-trip service has been added to Lefferts Boulevard and Far Rockaway, which, according to the MTA, reduces wait times for commuters.
For "L" train riders, the morning rush has been improved upon. There are four new peak-period round-trip trains and two more trains at the height of rush hour during the week (8 a.m. to 9 a.m.).
During the evening peak period, more frequent train service will begin roughly 30 minutes earlier.
