A magistrate has issued a warrant for the arrest of a man who has been convicted of assaulting and injuring frontline health workers while he was in Tamworth hospital.
William Kevin Robins, 27, had been expected to appear in Tamworth Local Court on Monday, November 3, to be sentenced on four counts of assaulting a frontline health worker in the course of their duty, causing actual bodily harm.
His actions also triggered a lockdown of Tamworth hospital's emergency department.
Magistrate Julie Soars had previously convicted Robins in his absence of the charges in September.
On Monday, Ms Soars said Robins had been notified of his latest appearance, and his whereabouts were unknown.
"This matter is too serious for a fine," Ms Soars said as she issued the arrest warrant, enabling police
