A police probe is underway after 'possible remains' were found in a bag near a West Dunbartonshire town.

Officers were called to the Arthurstone Road area of Alexandria at around 9.45am on Sunday, November 2, following the discovery.

Police say the contents are being assessed. It is understood that detectives are not currently treating the find as being linked to body parts, identified as belonging to Graham Wright, which was discovered near Loch Lomond on 13 September.

Two people have since appeared in court in connection with killing and dismembering the Gorbals local.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 9.45am on Sunday, 2 November, 2025, police were made aware of a bag with possible remains found in the Arthurstone Road area of Alexandria.
