WYOMING, Mich. — A 34-year-old man suspected of holding up a bank in Wyoming late Monday morning is in custody.
The Wyoming Police Department said the robbery happened at the PNC Bank on 28th Street at the corner of Buchanan Avenue just before 11 a.m.
Police said the man approached a teller demanding money, and he implied that he had a weapon.
The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Some Grand Rapids Police already in the area for some unrelated business spotted a person matching the suspect's description near 28th Street and Buchanan Avenue SW.
When Wyoming Police arrived, law enforcement took the man into custody. Police said he had cash from the robbery at the time of his arrest.
He's now in the Kent County Jail and awaiting arraignment.
The FBI is investigating.
