SURRY COUNTY, N.C. — Surry County Schools fired a pre-K teacher after deputies say she assaulted two young students on Oct. 28.
Court documents show 55-year-old Anesia Bridges pulled a 4-year-old boy's arm, threw him to the ground and kicked him. She's also accused of grabbing a 3-year-old boy's arm and roughly yanked him.
She is charged with two counts of misdemeanor assault on a child under the age of 12.
Surry County Schools says she was a first year employee at Flat Rock Elementary school. Holly Lyons, the Chief Communications Officer for Surry County Schools, released this statement:
