A 40-year-old Ray Township man pleaded guilty last month to two counts of fleeing police and two low-level drug charges for his three contacts with police this year on Macomb County roads.
Daniele Giannone – who separately was a complaining witness in a 2022 shoot-out that resulted in a death at his home – entered the pleas Oct. 22 in front of Judge Kathryn Viviano in Macomb County Circuit Court in Mount Clemens.
Giannone pleaded to two counts of third-degree fleeing police, punishable by up to five years in prison and one count each of attempted resisting arrest, possession of less than 25 grams of cocaine and attempted possession of cocaine for incidents in March, June and July.
He is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 3, at which he potentially will be eligible for probation or a limited
