A popular northeast Alabama restaurant offering Mexican food is closing after more than three decades.

Villa Fiesta on Rainbow Drive in Gadsden notified diners on Sunday that it would be closing after “32 incredible years.”

Villa Fiesta offered Mexican food and cocktails on one of Gadsden’s most traveled thoroughfares.

“Villa Fiesta has always been more than a restaurant,” the owners stated on social media. “It has been our second home, a place where friendships formed, families gathered, and memories came to life. We’ve been blessed to share countless celebrations filled with laughter and love.”

Villa Fiesta had a location in Irondale in the early 2000s, and its Sardis restaurant will remain open.
