More than 16 years after a woman was sexually battered at gunpoint in front of her two children by a man who broke into her Pompano Beach home, authorities have arrested the man who they believe is responsible for the shocking crime.
Wisler Marcellus, 63, was arrested Oct. 28 on charges of sexual battery with a weapon and armed burglary, Broward jail records showed. Broward Sheriff's Office
According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, the 36-year-old victim was asleep in her bedroom with her two kids when she was suddenly woken up around 3:30 a.m. on June 19, 2009, by an armed man who broke in and sexually battered her while holding a gun to her head.
Her children slept through the incident and weren't injured.
