CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Seven people were shot early Sunday in two separate shootings as discussions surrounding crime in Cincinnati intensify ahead of Election Day.
The shootings happened between 1 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. when four were shot outside an Over-The-Rhine nightclub, Privee on Elm, and three others were shot nine miles away in Carthage.
FOX19 NOW reached out to the mayor’s office and has yet to hear back, but briefly spoke with him at a ribbon-cutting for a development in Price Hill
“In order to interrupt the generational violence we’re seeing in the city, we’ve got to address the poverty. The root cause of a lot of the poverty is the lack of housing,” Mayor Aftab Pureval said.
