Six Flags America in Bowie, Maryland , officially closed its gates on Sunday (November 2) after 50 years in operation.
"Thank you, Six Flags America fans, for 50 years of family fun. We will always cherish the memories made together," the theme park wrote on its Instagram account.
Six Flags America, which operated alongside the Hurricane Harbor water park, included more than 100 rides, shows, slides and rollercoasters. The theme park had previously announced plans to close permanently at the end of the 2025 season as part of the company's ongoing efforts to restructure amid debt issues.
