WOLCOTT, Conn. — After 22 years in office, Mayor Tom Dunn faces a challenge from former town official Paul D'Angelo, who says it's time for new leadership.
Dunn, who has guided Wolcott through the 2008 financial crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic, says he plans to continue the work that has kept his community stable.
D'Angelo, a former member of the town council and Board of Education, argues voters know exactly what to expect from the incumbent.
"He has a track record of 22 years. There's no question what he's going to do for the next two years — it's a microcosm of what he's done for the last 22 years," D'Angelo said. "And if people are happy with that, by all means they should go out and vote. I'm offering a new vision and a new opportunity."
