ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. — A Burlington man was arrested late Friday after deputies said they found more than 46 grams of crack cocaine during a traffic stop involving a vehicle with an illegible temporary tag, according to the Alamance County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies stopped the vehicle around 11:53 p.m. Oct. 31 near North Park Avenue and Glen Raven Road in Burlington. Deputies said they smelled marijuana as they approached the vehicle and asked the driver and passenger to step out.
During a search of the vehicle, deputies found a small amount of suspected marijuana on the passenger-side floorboard. The passenger initially gave a false name but was later identified as Prince Lavonte Rogers, 37, of Burlington, according to the sheriff’s office.
