KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Johnson County Sheriff's Office is investigating a crash involving a 6-year-old who was injured.
Sunday at about 12:15 p.m., deputies responded to a crash on Sunflower Road in De Soto, Kansas.
The driver, 25-year-old Jeyson Carabantes-Deras, overcorrected and caused the car to roll over, according to the sheriff's office.
A 6-year-old girl inside the car was seriously injured and taken to the hospital, the sheriff's office said.
Carabantes-Deras appeared to be intoxicated, according to deputies at the scene; DUI testing was conducted, and he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
