FOXBOROUGH - Will Campbell was almost a hero on Drake Maye’s second quarter strip sack.
His efforts in chasing and bringing down James Pearce Jr., who picked up the fumble around the Patriots 38-yard-line, were notable.
Campbell managed to keep Pearce out of the endzone, tackling him at the 6-yard line.
The Falcons did eventually score, but Campbell’s hustle on the play didn’t go unnoticed, especially as players rewatched the film on Monday.
“I was giving him his props,” center Garrett Bradbury said. “We were just watching the film. I was, ‘Hey, is that your first tackle.’ He said, ‘No, it’s my second.’
