The Maryland Transportation Authority will close the eastbound span of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge early Sunday, Nov. 9, to accommodate the annual Bay Bridge Run.
The closure will begin at 12:01 a.m. Sunday and is expected to last until 2 p.m., weather permitting.
During the event, the westbound span will carry two-way traffic, with one lane open in each direction and the center lane closed. The center lane may open intermittently to help ease westbound congestion, according to the MDTA.
The Bay Bridge Run, held in partnership with Anne Arundel and Queen Anne’s counties, takes runners across the eastbound span of the bridge, which stretches about 4.3 miles over the Chesapeake Bay.
