SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) - So far in 2025, we’ve been right around where we should be in terms of rainfall. We’re currently about three-quarters of an inch below average for the year, which isn’t too concerning overall, but we are still seeing areas of moderate to severe drought across parts of the region, especially outside of Savannah.
Savannah itself has been doing fairly well with rainfall. The October total came in at 3.34 inches, which is only 0.38 inches below average. However, areas inland, west of I-95 and south of Highway 16, have missed out on much of that rain As a result, those locations are now seeing moderate to even severe drought conditions, particularly around Screven County, and farther south into Bacon, Appling, and Wayne counties.
