COLLETON COUNTY, S.C. (WSAV) — Four people died in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 303 Monday night, officials said.
Two vehicles hit head on at 6:38 p.m. on Highway 303 near Simons Acres Lane, South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway reported.
All four people involved in the crash died, Ridgeway said. Three people were in a Volkswagen SUV traveling southbound and one person in a Dodge minivan traveling northbound.
The driver of the Volkswagen SUV was taken to a local hospital where they passed away. The two passengers of the SUV and the driver of the minivan died on the scene, Ridgeway reported.
The crash remains under investigation. WSAV will update as more information becomes available.
