SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) - From captivity in Gaza to voicing her freedom across the world, former Israeli hostage Moran Stela Yanai shared her story in the Hostess City Monday.

The Oct. 7, 2023, survivor spoke in front of a packed crowd Monday in the Cultural Arts Center about her seven weeks in captivity two years ago and how she is persevering in freedom.

Yanai is a self-made jeweler who decided to set up shop as a vendor at the Nova Music Festival on Oct. 7, a move she thought would be career-defining at 40 years old.

After a few hours she found herself forced into a truck with 10 Hamas terrorists, one of which forced her to look out the window as she was brought into the streets of Gaza as a hostage amidst a cheering crowd.
