The Boston Red Sox have something to be thrilled about. Sure, Alex Bregman opted out, and that has the fans in splits. But the Red Sox have multiple winners who have won a Gold Glove in the same year—and that calls for a celebration.

Well, on Sunday, Major League Baseball announced 2025’s Gold Glove Award winners, and Ceddanne Rafaela headlined the list after being named the best defensive center fielder in the American League, along with their other player, Wilyer Abreu.

This is Rafaela’s Gold Glove of his career. But for anyone who has watched him play at all, this is no surprise at all. Rafaela’s brother Cezan actually summed it best in a rather heartfelt message after MLB’s announcement.
