UPDATE: November 4, 2025 at 5:16 p.m.
The Stevens County Auditor’s Office released a follow-up report on Tuesday after discovering an issue affecting automatic voter registration (AVR) notices in Stevens and Ferry Counties.
Following this discovery, Stevens County conducted an internal review. It was found that while AVR notices were being received at a limited rate of 1-3 per week, those from state agencies were not processed due to their absence from the task queue.
Auditor Lori Larsen expressed appreciation for the collaboration that led to the resolution.
“We’re grateful to the Ferry County voter whose inquiry helped bring this issue to light, and to our partners at the Office of the Secretary of State for their responsiveness and support in diagnosing and correcting the problem.
