CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Former Chester County School District Superintendent Antwon Sutton is under investigation following allegations of misconduct, according to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED).

On Oct. 24, the Chester County Sheriff's Office requested SLED investigate the allegations.

Sutton was hired by the school district in 2020. He retired at the end of September.

The Chester County Board of School Trustees says they are aware of the investigation concerning matters about the school district, and say they are "prepared to fully cooperate with SLED throughout the course of this investigation."
