KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Knoxville Police Department is investigating reports of several car break-ins that happened during the Tennessee football game against Oklahoma Saturday night.
According to KPD’s Scott Erland, there were two cars parked in the 200 block of Hawthorne Avenue with windows broken and items taken from inside the cars while the victims were at the game.
Additionally, Erland said there were two other reports of cars parked in the 900 block of Poplar Street being broken into during the game. In both of these cases, he said a window was smashed and items were taken.
The burglaries are being investigated by KPD’s property crime detectives, Erland said. There is also no suspect information available at this time.
