MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - An 18-year-old is charged with attempted murder after a Halloween robbery-turned-shooting inside a smoke shop on North Germantown Parkway.

Shelby County Jail records show that Marquis Davis was officially booked Sunday. He is charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated robbery, and employment of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.

According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Davis robbed employees at the Exotic Smoke Shop located at the Dexter Ridge Shopping Center on Friday afternoon.

While he was inside, Davis allegedly shot a woman before running out of the store.

Witnesses say he ran away with cash.
