CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Jury selection is still underway in the trial of two men accused of robbing and killing the co-owner of Brooks Sandwich House in NoDa nearly six years ago.

Scott Brooks was shot and killed in December 2019 as he opened the restaurant for the day.

Last week, seven jurors were seated in the murder trial. On Monday, the court worked to secure the remaining five jurors and four alternates. An eighth juror was seated late in the afternoon.

The seven jurors already chosen were told by the judge on Friday that they did not need to return until opening statements.

At least ten potential jurors were excused on Monday for personal or work-related reasons.
