An Australian man who was on board the London train where a horrifying stabbing attack occurred has explained how he escaped the chilling ordeal unscathed.
On Saturday evening local time, Matt Kingston was on his way back home to London on the train from Doncaster in the UK's north after visiting a dog breeder in Yorkshire during the day.
Mr Kingston said he was almost home when the attack unfolded, and that the train was "super quiet" and wasn't too busy prior to the incident.
"(I had) headphones on, handful of people started running down the middle of the carriage," he told 2GB's Ben Fordham on Tuesday.
"People started screaming, 'he's got a knife' and 'run, run, run'."
